Foxwood Crossing I

Conveniently located just off of Hemlock Road in Branford the Foxwood Crossing I complex is in a lovely wooded setting near the Lake Saltonstall walking rails.

With its close proximity to Interstate 95 and Route 1, it’s a short commute to Downtown New Haven, shopping and restaurants. If you have a longer commute a great resource is the Shore Line Eastcommuter rail service.

Foxwood Crossing I consists of 41 two and three bedroom townhomes.   Built in the mid to late 1970’s they range in size from approximately 1160 sq. ft to 1676 sq. ft.  Each townhouse has a nice open floor plan with many units including a fireplace, finished basement, balcony or deck.

You can expect to see a mix of layouts with either carpeting or hardwood floors in the living room, dining room, and bedrooms. Units have between 1 1/2-2  1/2 bathrooms.  A number of the current owners have done some updating and improvements that may include granite counter tops and stainless steel appliances in the kitchen and ceramic tile in the bathrooms.

You’ll also find that many units may also have additional square footage in a finished lower level basement.  Units are heated by gas and have central air conditioning.

Foxwood Crossing I is currently one  of the few condo complexes in Branford that is FHA approved.  This is subject to change so please check this list of Branford FHA approved condos for the most up to date information.

Grounds and Amenities

Each unit has assigned parking space(s) with additional visitor parking available. Included in the HOA monthly fees is grounds maintenance, garbage, water and snow removal. At the writing of this article depending on the size of the unit and number of bedrooms the monthly HOA fees on average range approximately from $219 to $285 per month and may be different today.

The grounds surrounding the complex are nicely landscaped and maintained. Amenities you’ll find at Foxwood Crossing I are a swimming pool, clubhouse, and tennis court.

Living In Branford

The Town of Branford combines natural beauty with convenience with its 20 miles of coastline and close proximity to New Haven and Tweed New Haven Airport.  Its quaint New England green and revitalized Branford Town Center area features the Branford Town Hall, historic churches, lots of great restaurants and places to shop.

Branford has a very active park & recreation department, two libraries, a senior center, tennis courts, hiking trails, public and private beaches, two yacht clubs and numerous marinas. The Green is one of the central points of activities featuring summer concerts and the Christmas Tree lighting.  It is also the site where the annual Branford Festival is held.
